Meet Sarah Beth Mitchell – Your Culinary Coach
Welcome to Coach Recipes! I’m Sarah Beth, and I’m absolutely thrilled you’ve found your way to our little corner of the culinary world.
My love affair with cooking began when I was just a little girl, standing on a wooden stool beside my beloved grandmother, Eleanor, in her cozy farmhouse kitchen. Grandma Ellie, as we called her, had this magical way of turning simple ingredients into extraordinary meals that brought our whole family together. She taught me that cooking isn’t just about following recipes – it’s about putting love into every dish and creating memories that last a lifetime.
Now, at 50, I’m still that same curious little girl at heart, just with a few more decades of kitchen adventures under my apron! From our cozy home in Charleston, South Carolina, I’m blessed to share this journey with my wonderful husband, David, and our two amazing kids who keep our home (and kitchen) lively and full of laughter.
My passion for cooking has taken me on incredible culinary adventures around the world. From learning authentic pasta-making techniques in Tuscany to discovering exotic spice combinations in local markets across Asia, I love bringing global flavors back to my Southern kitchen. These travels have enriched my cooking style and opened my eyes to how food connects us all, no matter where we’re from.
Our 16-year-old son, Mason, is my official taste-tester and has developed quite the sophisticated palate – though he still insists that my chocolate chip cookies are the best thing I’ve ever made. Our 12-year-old daughter, Emma, is following in the family tradition and loves experimenting with new flavors and helping me photograph our latest creations for the blog.
